Uber granted new 15 month license in London

News Update:

Uber has been granted a new 15 month license after winning an appeal against TFL to have its licence removed. The ride-hailing service impressed judge with sweeping changes to its practices.

“We are pleased with today’s decision. We will continue to work with TfL to address their concerns and earn their trust, while providing the best possible service for our customers.” – Tom Elvidge, general manager of Uber in the UK.

What does this mean for Uber drivers?

45,000 drivers can continue to transport the 3.6 million passengers regularly using its service in London.

Uber continues improving conditions for UK drivers, including limited insurance, limits on working hours and a 24-hour phone line for support.
