Review CategoryReview NotesPerformance & DriveThe Jaguar ev400 is the quietest and most comfortable car I have ever driven. It’s faster than other electric vehicles like Nissan Leaf and Kia e-Niro. A very impressive electric car at the moment.InteriorThe I-Pace looks fantastic & fashionable inside and I really liked the 360 degree camera as it helps you to understand the parking obstacles. The phone pairing tech is very easy to understand however the navigation responds slowly. The two front seats are impressively comfortable and easy to adjust. The music quality is decent.Passenger & Boot-spaceThere’s a decent amount of space in the front and back. I’m 6ft 3in and felt very comfortable in the vehicle. The Jaguar I-Pace’s boot is a good size and has dedicated cable storage.Charging & RangeThe I-pace with a 90kWh battery gives somewhere around 210 miles on a single charge. The car takes around 2 hours to recharge the battery to 80% capacity with 50kW rapid charger and will take around 30-32 hours to fully recharge from a 3Kw charger. On testing the vehicle gives 99% exact miles range (whilst using navigation, radio etc.) I personally used Allego Shell Recharge and found it using the Zap Map smartphone app. The only thing I didn’t like were the short charging cables as it was difficult reach the socket. There still aren’t many fast public chargers in London – most are for Tesla, and sadly you can’t use them in the Jaguar I- pace.Overall verdictBeing the winner of the 2019 World Car Awards, this vehicle is highly appropriate for the Uber Executive platform. The range is great compared to other brands, such as Kia Niro and Nissan Leaf, offering the range up to 290 miles covered in one single charge. Its versatility and dynamism felt addictive and rewarding.
